Privacy Policy
Short version: your anime list never leaves your browser. There are no accounts. The longer version below covers the third parties your browser does contact.
1. What we store, and where
AniLog has no user accounts, no login, and no server-side database. Everything the app
remembers is written to your own browser localStorage:
- Your list — titles, statuses, episode progress, scores, and notes.
- Preferences — sort order, view mode, filter state.
- A local catalogue cache — titles you have already viewed, so the site works when the metadata APIs are down.
- An ad frequency counter — a timestamp, if advertising is enabled.
This data is never transmitted to us. We cannot read it, back it up, or restore it.
2. Third parties your browser contacts
AniLog runs entirely in your browser and calls these services directly. When it does, they receive your IP address and the request itself, under their own privacy policies:
- Jikan / MyAnimeList — series metadata, cover art, cast. MyAnimeList privacy policy.
- AniList — fallback metadata when the above is unavailable. AniList terms and privacy.
- Cloudflare Pages — hosts and serves this site, and keeps standard access logs including IP addresses for security and abuse prevention. Cloudflare privacy policy.
3. Advertising
This site may display advertising supplied by Adsterra and its demand partners. Where advertising is active, those networks may set cookies or similar identifiers and collect device, browser, approximate location, and browsing data to select and measure ads. We do not share your list, notes, or scores with them — that data never leaves your browser.

AniLog honours the browser Do Not Track signal: if your browser sends it, ad scripts are not loaded at all.
4. Analytics
We do not currently run any analytics or tracking scripts of our own. If that changes, this page will be updated before it takes effect.
5. Your choices and rights
- See your data: use Export on the My List page for a complete JSON copy.
- Delete your data: clear this site data in your browser settings. That erases everything, immediately and permanently.
- Block third parties: a content blocker will stop the ad and metadata requests. The app still works; covers and synopses may not load.
Because we hold no personal data on any server, requests under the GDPR or CCPA to access, correct, or erase your information are satisfied by the controls above. For anything else, get in touch.
6. Children
AniLog is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
7. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected in the date at the foot of this page.
